Hello, Namaste, Bonjour!
I love playing/experimenting with fabric & yarn and all the accessories that go with it. And I also love jewellery. Β When there is so much love, lovely things are bound to be born out of it π
So in an experiment of a sort I’ve mixed my two loves to make a couple of tassel earrings. Well, they are not my invention per se, lots of DIY bloggers and artists do them, have been doing them. It’s just my take on them.
Let my pictures do the rest of the talking!

You can use either of these things (old id cards, bookmarks or pencils) to make tassels.

You can wrap the yarn or thread around a pencil or any other things shown to get a desired length of tassel.

After securing a tie around the neck, you can cut the loops of threads at the bottom and your tassel is ready!

Or if you are using this method, after winding the yarn around the card, tie a thread at the top first, then at the neck and then cut up the loops and there you have a tassel, again.

After making a tassel I’ve simply used my creativity to add beads to it and make a large loopy knot at the top as shown in the picture.

And so I got a pair of (a bit Chinese looking) tassels!!
I’ve left these large loops on top so that I can simply put a stud earring of mine through the loop, and they are good to go.

That’s how they look.

Wore them in Athens! Loved them, loved Athens!!
So, what do you think?? Let me know, I’m always listening. π
Take care and I’ll be back soon, with my new project.
Beautiful colours of creativity.fantastic idea, perfectly executed.Keep surprising with your innovative ideas.
