Hello, Namaste, Bonjour!
I’ve been feeling crafty for a long time now (I know you’ve heard that one before but that’s the truth of the moment). Not just feeling crafty, I have managed to create, re-create and re-fashion enough things to make up for the lost times & emptiness of this section.
THE STORY: I went to the local market in Lausanne to buy a present and somehow..errr…strayed away, to the femme section and found this gorgeous classic white shirt for myself. I can never say no to white so off it went in shopping bag. What made it a steal was sale! So there!
MORAL : Giving is receiving. (Sometimes ‘getting’ can even precede ‘giving’) 🙂
LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY:  SUB-EASY!! (This post features one of the easiest DIYs out there!)
INSPIRATION: As far as I know it is as original as Van Gogh’s Sunflowers!
So here it is.

My plain white shirt from Bershka

Few of my pre-stocked beads 🙂 The prong ones and the sew through ones.
Okay so there is no rocket science or formulae ahead. Nevertheless do not underestimate simplistic creativity. I like my whites to be white so I have kept the dose of embellishment to the minimum.
Since we’re all done with collar embellishments and shoulder too (I did one here), this time I gave a twist to the shirt tabs to hold the rolled up sleeve.

Sewing them in a slightly wavy pattern

There you go!
I did a little refashioning here. I moved the button that holds the tab a little higher up and added more beads to the tab.

Ta da!

What do you think?

Things couldn’t have got any better when I found a matching background in a hotel lobby where I wore this shirt!

Thus, a classic white shirt embellished!
I styled this Bershka shirt with J Crew sailor pants, a silver belt by Uniqlo, a silver cuff from Greece and a steel grey sling bag from my grandmother-in-law.
Hope you like it. Let me know.
