Hello, Namaste!
It’s been long since this space has been deprived of my ‘crafty’ ideas. May be I was waiting for some festivity for much needed inspiration. With Diwali just gone by, I made a headband for myself to go with my dress. And I also made a couple of others, in the flow.
To make this, first set your stopwatches to 120 seconds, cause that is how long it takes to make them.

I used a plain long band, embroidered/embellished applique patches.
Next and the last step is to sew this patch onto the headband and voila! you got it!! If sewing is not your thing, just glue it using a fabric glue.

I made two such headbands

And one other by sewing buttons onto it!

Buttons on a band

I’m wearing it a bit higher than I should, will look better a little lower and towards one side

DIY Diwali!

Now, I’m sure it is going to grace your straight or wavy tresses more than my unruly hair. So, go for it!
Hope you like it! Let me know. And happy DIYing!
🙂
