Hi there,
Welcome to my blog.
This post belongs to the same series as previous one where I told you how much I appreciate little things in life and on clothes. If you missed it, you can catch it here.
My mum recently sent me a box full of laces and buttons and scraps of clothes and things, I could spend my day with. And with that came a delicate, pretty pink lace that I’d been wanting to use somewhere. Where it belongs.
One afternoon in Verona, in Italy, I was having lunch with my husband when my eyes were scanning the market in the centre of square where I saw, this beautiful scarf pastel mint in colour, with pale pink flowers on it and it was a ‘Eureka’ moment. The scarf is of the softest crushed cotton there ever can be.
It was a bit shorter in length, as some summer scarfs are intended to be. That worked even more so in my favour and the rest of the story is here in pictures…

My summer scarf!

Lace from India 🙂
I fixed the lace with pearl head pins at the ends of the scarf this way…

Fix it in place before sewing
Sewed in place with simple running stitches.

Sewed it along the topmost edge of the lace with pink thread
One more thing, I added the lace following the cut of scarf which wasn’t straight but one end lower than the other.

The lace isn’t straight but one end higher than the other
I did this because when you put the scarf around your neck this diagonal cut will make it fall beautifully, in a cascading way. The lace also added to the length of the scarf as I prefer them long.
Well, that is all and that is where I fitted in the pink lace and it looks gorgeous and totally where it belonged! 🙂

Laced up and ‘Graced up’!!
Will post my picture when I wear it. Can’t wait!!!
You can try this simple idea on your scarves as well, make it more personalized!  And trust me, its super easy. 🙂
Thanks guys, for being here.
Till I come back, stay crafty and keep shining!
Take care ♥
