A Spanish Holiday!

My husband (hereafter known as Hubz ) and I, we both love to read and to travel. So when we read, loved and got fascinated by Carlos Ruiz Zafon’s Shadow of the Wind we wanted to travel to Barcelona. And anyone who has read the book would be able to co-relate to the names of streets, alley ways and other landmarks appearing further in my story.

Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia and is the second largest city of Spain (believe me, its huge!). While I owe my familiarity with Barcelona to Carlos Ruiz Zafon the movie buffs would know it through Woody Allen’s Vicky Christina Barcelona. The artistic minds will connect it to Picasso and architecture experts to Gaudi. And the sports fan know about it as the Summer Olympic host of 1992 and faithful football fans to FCB or Camp Nou. Barcelona is also the home to a big name in fashion world – Mango. It’s a fabulous place for the likes of me as it overflows with shops and style and is a (pardon my use of a cliché) a shopper’s paradise. So Barcelona has everything for the traveller in you, waiting to be explored.

So get your sunnies, walking shoes, sunblock, camera and you are all set to conquer – Barcelona!

This was just a tiny miny bit from my forth coming travel post. Stay connected. I’ll be back soon. Promise.
