But right now I want to take this long pending travelogue to a finish line. So there we were, not thoroughly pleased with Lisbon, catching an afternoon train that began a three hour journey to Porto through which the weather went from sunny to partially cloudy to cloudy, leading on to a drizzle thereby washing … [Continue reading...]

I can stand by the window, my nose against the frosty glass and loose myself to the sight of a cloud crushed and seasoned over this hinterland without a track of time. I love it that much. It tempts me to grab a coat and jump into the snow boots and go and stand under the sky that flakes away as though to a piece of music. I feel like opening my palms to it watch … [Continue reading...]

Due homage paid to Lisbon’s most important landmarks what naturally fitted into the agenda for Day-2 was more hope, less sun, some tram rides, a pop into some artsy neighbourhoods and finding those picture perfect miradouros – one such view point that could change our day old point of view.   One of the many […]

It’s been a year and half since we flew out of Portugal (to our relief & hopefully for the last time) on a very inhospitable TAP Portugal flight. Sorry Portugal! But gotta call a ♠ a ♠. I remember a few moments and montages more lucidly than others. I remember being hot and dehydrated […]

I’ve lived in Switzerland for three whole years and just two days over two months now. Oui, that’s a decent time. Far from calling it an elephantine memory (although that would be great to have) but let’s say it is distinct. Perhaps, because of an automated long running function of re-running and re-telling of things, […]

A Big Warm ‘Welcome Back’ Hello! A quick fill in? While tendonitis kept me from happily tapping away my sojourns, it did not keep me from making them 🙂 While I travelled to some new places and saw some old ones in a new light, I also ruminated on our wedding celebrations as we celebrated […]
